UX Writer (with German)

About the project

Andersen is hiring a UX Writer with German for a project enhancing digital products through clear, consistent content and delivering a user-centered experience.

Our customer is a large infrastructure organization focused on operating and enhancing complex, business-critical systems. The company invests in digital technologies, automation, and data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and decision-making across large-scale processes. The project is focused on improving the user experience of digital products through clear, consistent, and user-centered content. The scope included defining content guidelines, collaborating with design and product teams, integrating copy into UI designs, and refining messaging based on user research, usability testing, and stakeholder feedback.

Responsibilities

• Writing microcopy for UI components, including buttons, error messages, tooltips, and form labels.
• Developing and maintaining content style guides, tone of voice, and messaging guidelines.
• Creating structured, reusable copy decks and documenting UX writing principles and best practices.
• Developing clear, concise, user-centered copy to improve usability and accessibility.
• Collaborating with UX Design, Product, and Development teams to align content with design and functionality.
• Coordinating user research and usability testing to validate content effectiveness.
• Refining content based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and A/B testing results.
• Ensuring content integrates seamlessly into high-fidelity UI designs and adapts to layout and interaction constraints.
• Providing structured copy concepts and guidelines to inform UI design decisions.

Requirements

• Experience in UX Writing, Content Design, Communications, Journalism, or related fields for 2+ years.
• Strong ability to create clear, concise, user-centered microcopy for digital products.
• Understanding of UX principles, content design, accessibility, and usability best practices.
• Experience developing and maintaining content guidelines, tone of voice, and messaging standards.
• Ability to use user research, usability testing, and stakeholder feedback to refine content.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
• Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.
