We are looking for a skilled L2 Application Support Engineer to join our team. The candidate should have experience in application and infrastructure support, with strong troubleshooting skills and expertise in Azure Monitor using KQL, Dynatrace and SEQ. This role involves real-time issue resolution, log analysis, and collaboration with support and engineering teams to ensure smooth application operations.
Our team works in two shifts—Morning (7 AM–4 PM UAE Time) and Afternoon (12 PM–9 PM UAE Time)—providing service 7 days a week on a rotating schedule. Each member works a 40-hour week with flexible days off.
Responsibilities
- Provide L2 application support, investigating and resolving incidents efficiently
- Debug issues across application, API, infrastructure and network layers in hybrid environments
- Analyze logs and monitor system health using Azure Application Insights and Log Analytics, Dynatrace and SEQ
- Work hands-on with Azure Functions, Azure API Management, AKS or Container Apps, API Gateway, Web Apps and WAF
- Assist in troubleshooting web applications, REST APIs and WebSocket technologies
- Apply solid understanding of OAuth 2.0, mTLS, SSL or TLS and Azure RBAC
- Handle protocols and data formats including REST, SOAP, JSON and XML
- Support mobile applications on iOS and Android (basic troubleshooting, installation, permissions)
- Write SQL and MongoDB queries to extract and analyze data
- Operate within ITSM processes (Incident, Problem Management, Change Enablement)
- Engage with customers via calls and chats for real-time issue resolution
- Utilize ServiceNow for ticket management and tracking
- Document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and contribute to the knowledge base
Requirements
- Experience as an L2 Application Support Engineer or similar role
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Azure Cloud Technologies
- Proficiency in PowerShell, KQL queries, SQL and MongoDB
- Knowledge of Web Application Architecture and APIs
- Familiarity with ITSM practices and ticketing tools like ServiceNow
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a dynamic environment

- Background in scripting or automation for support tasks
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools and DevOps practices
