We are looking for experienced Senior Backend Engineers to join a high-impact engineering team working on a large-scale Order Management modernization initiative. The program focuses on rewriting and modernizing the fulfillment platform using cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture.
The project involves building a scalable, resilient, and high-performing order fulfillment system leveraging AWS services, Java-based microservices, and workflow orchestration platforms. The team will evaluate and implement modern orchestration solutions such as workflow engines and cloud-native state management tools to support complex order lifecycle processes.
You will work closely with distributed engineering teams to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade backend systems that support critical business workflows and high transaction volumes.

Essential functions
- Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Develop and optimize order fulfillment workflows and orchestration solutions.
- Integrate AWS services into enterprise applications for scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and stakeholders to define technical solutions.
- Design efficient database schemas and optimize application performance.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide scalable resolutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.
- Ensure high-quality software delivery through testing and CI/CD practices.
- Contribute to system reliability, observability, and operational excellence initiatives.
Qualifications
- 7–15 years of experience in backend or microservices development.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11 and Spring Boot.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services.
- Strong understanding of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, IAM, and related cloud-native services.
- Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices architecture and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Netflix Conductor, AWS Step Functions, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases, schema design, and optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Experience with high-scale order management or fulfillment systems.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.
- Exposure to distributed workflow and orchestration platforms.
- Prior experience working with global engineering teams in enterprise environments.
