Senior Java Engineer with knowledge of Flink
Grid Dynamics is looking for a backend engineer with hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade software.
Essential functions
- Developing and modifying backend Java code to implement new features and enhance existing functionality
- Building integrations between the Combiner control plane and internal ASE services and platforms, including Cassandra, Kafka, and ACOS
- Investigating and resolving production issues using Splunk and other monitoring and logging tools
- Providing ongoing production support for systems and responding to incidents in a timely manner
- Assisting customers in onboarding to the Combiner platform by understanding their use cases and guiding them through available tooling and capabilities
Qualifications
- Strong Java development skills
- Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases (Cassandra in particular)
- Knowledge of Distributed systems design and architecture
- Experience with Apache Flink is a significant plus
- Strong communication skills
- The candidate must be comfortable debugging and troubleshooting complex distributed systems and proposing actionable solutions under pressure
- Availability for evening calls until 9-10 pm EEST
