We are hiring two Senior Software Engineers to contribute to Fluxnova, the open source successor of Camunda 7. You will work closely with senior engineers across the globe, shaping the future of a widely used workflow engine that powers complex, mission critical processes. This role offers a rare combination of deep backend engineering, real open source contribution, and production grade scale

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities: Application Design and Integration: · Design application components to meet business requirements and document the design. · Define the integration strategy, including rationale and environment requirements, and establish the sequence for product-component integration. · Assess risks related to design, integration, and data quality, and identify mitigation strategies. · Participate in design reviews and ensure adherence to development standards reflecting the bank's guidelines (e.g., naming conventions, encryption, security). · Implement architectural changes as defined by architects. · Provide Level 3 support for technical infrastructure components (databases, middleware, user interfaces). · Contribute to root cause analysis and problem-solving. Java Software Development: · Develop source code for software components based on detailed specifications and design documents. · Participate in code reviews to resolve findings collaboratively. · Integrate software components according to the group’s strategy and verify them through unit and integration testing. · Track and record all code changes through the change management process, ensuring development is scheduled and approved. · Develop methods for deploying change items and manage release deployments in non-production environments. · Create and maintain deployment notes, user guides, and training materials for software products. · Ensure document consistency with software product releases · Fix software defects and analyze code quality. · Collaborate with functional analysts and technical specialists as needed.

SKILLS

Must have

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise Java application development Java 17 Angular 20+ with TypeScript Spring Boot 2.7 / 3.x REST API development and integration Oracle database development Spring Security / OAuth2 / JWT / secure API design JUnit 5, Mockito, and integration testing Maven/Gradle build management CI/CD and deployment experience in non-production/prod environments Strong understanding of application design, integration patterns, and technical risk mitigation

Nice to have

Kubernetes/OpenShift deployment experience Oracle PL/SQL and performance tuning Kafka/RabbitMQ messaging Docker and containerized deployments Security and compliance experience in financial systems
