Product Management - Healthcare

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HealthTech Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of digital healthcare products and platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of healthcare workflows, healthcare interoperability standards, patient engagement solutions, and Agile product development methodologies. The Product Owner will work closely with clinical stakeholders, engineering teams, UX designers, and business leaders to deliver innovative solutions that improve healthcare outcomes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and business objectives aligned with organizational goals
• Identify market opportunities, healthcare trends, and customer needs to drive product innovation
• Translate business strategy into actionable product initiatives and releases
• Conduct competitive analysis and recommend product improvements
• Backlog Management: Creating, maintaining, and continually refining the product backlog (Epics, Stories, Bugs) based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact
• Requirements Definition: Collaborating with stakeholders to define product features, clearly writing user stories, and establishing precise acceptance criteria for the engineering teams
• Stakeholder Liaison: Acting as the primary point of contact between developers, product managers, and internal business clients, eliminating information gaps and managing expectations
• Data-Driven Decision Making: For data-oriented or technical roles, utilizing business logic, large datasets, and analytics to build tools and dashboards that drive business value
• Sprint Support: Participating in Agile ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, and Sprint Reviews to guide developers and evaluate completed increments against product goals
• Gather and analyze user feedback to improve product adoption and satisfaction
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to create intuitive healthcare experiences
• Define user journeys and workflows for patients, providers, and administrators
• Advocate for customer-centric product decisions
• Ensure healthcare products meet regulatory, security, and quality standards
• Collaborate with compliance, legal, and security teams during product development
• Support audit readiness and documentation requirements

Requirements

• 10-14 years of overall professional experience within the IT industry
• 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager
• At least 2+ years of experience in Healthcare, HealthTech, Digital Health, Health Insurance, or Healthcare Technology solutions
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience working in or with a Global Capability Center (GCC) in India is strongly preferred
• Technical – Jira, Confluence, AWS, Data Analytics and reporting tools like Power BI
• Understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and regulations (HIPAA, ERISA, etc.)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Has a knack for technology & understanding of common software development methodologies

Nice to have

• Product Owner or Management certification is preferred
