Cloud Solution Architect (AWS)

We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect to lead cloud-native modernization of a hydraulic modeling platform on AWS, focusing on scalable execution, data integration, and automated scenario analysis. You will shape the end-to-end architecture and guide delivery alongside technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for a cloud-native hydraulic modeling modernization workstream
• Design scalable model execution environments on Amazon EC2 with appropriate orchestration approaches
• Implement parallel model execution using AWS Batch and scalable compute capacity
• Build automated scenario triggering and workflow orchestration using AWS Step Functions
• Integrate event-driven automation where applicable using Amazon EventBridge
• Design data integration pipelines from Amazon Redshift curated layers into ISV simulation software
• Develop integration interfaces and APIs to connect simulation tools with the data platform
• Modernize legacy modeling workflows to improve automation, scalability, and throughput
• Define performance measurement and optimization approaches for model execution runtimes
• Align integration requirements with client technical leads and ISV partner teams
• Produce technical documentation and maintain compliance and delivery tracking artifacts
• Mentor consultants on cloud-native development, modernization patterns, and integration practices

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in solution architecture for cloud modernization on Amazon Web Services
• Experience with Amazon EC2, including scalable execution environments
• Experience with AWS Batch for parallel processing and job orchestration
• Experience with AWS Step Functions to automate workflows and scenario pipelines
• Experience with Amazon Redshift, including integration from curated data layers
• Architecture ownership skills to drive end-to-end technical decisions and production-quality delivery
• Leadership and mentoring skills to coach consultants on modernization patterns and cloud-native integration
• Strong system design skills for resilient, scalable, and automated model execution platforms
• Strong communication skills to align requirements with client technical leads and partner teams
• Strong documentation skills for technical specifications, compliance tracking, and handoffs
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2) proficiency for daily collaboration and technical discussions

• AWS CloudFormation expertise for infrastructure as code
• AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) experience for infrastructure definition and automation
• Amazon EventBridge knowledge for event-driven workflow patterns
• Java proficiency for building integration services and APIs
