About the project
Andersen is hiring a Business Analyst with German for a project modernizing a critical energy management platform and delivering scalable digital solutions for infrastructure systems.
Our customer is a large infrastructure organization focused on operating and enhancing complex, business-critical systems. The company invests in digital technologies, automation, and data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and decision-making across large-scale processes. With a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement, it develops scalable technology capabilities that support long-term organizational growth and evolving operational needs.
The project is focused on modernizing a modular energy management and SCADA platform that supports critical power grid operations. It aims to enhance real-time monitoring, grid analysis, network security, and operational decision support while improving requirements management and collaboration across business and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing, documenting, and managing functional and technical requirements for Grid Analysis and SNSC solutions within the MCCS program.
- Creating requirements, user stories, technical specifications, and other project documentation.
- Facilitating workshops and coordinating requirements with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams.
- Analyzing complex energy system use cases, including power system stability, voltage control, network security analysis, state estimation, load-flow calculations, and grid monitoring.
- Translating technical findings into actionable business and technical requirements.
- Supporting the modernization of EMS/SCADA solutions.
- Ensuring requirement quality, traceability, and alignment with business, operational, and technical needs.
- Supporting development, testing, technical acceptance, and release planning.
- Contributing to scalable, interoperable, and future-ready MCCS solutions, including AI/ML initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in Requirements Engineering and Business Analysis within technically complex system landscapes for 3+ years.
- Strong domain knowledge of power systems and energy technology, including grid security analysis, voltage control, power system stability, curative system management, state estimation, and network calculations.
- Experience with EMS, SCADA environments, grid operation systems, or related utility platforms.
- Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into business and functional requirements.
- Hands-on experience with requirements elicitation, user stories, backlog management, and functional/technical specifications.
- Experience preparing decision records and release-ready project documentation.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, excellent stakeholder communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Familiarity with IREB, BABOK, or similar Business Analysis frameworks.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
- Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
