Cubic Games is a game development studio and part of the GDEV holding. We have grown from a small team into a leading game development studio with over 140 professionals. Our mission is to create unique pixel-style games, including the popular Pixel Gun 3D, which attracts over 3 million monthly players.
We are currently working on a new project Pixel Gun 2, a cross-platform PvP arena shooter.
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Artist with strong expertise in rendering and optimization. - Optimizing CPU, GPU, build size, and loading times
- Optimizing VFX, including particles and destruction, as well as UI, audio, and animations
- Researching new technologies and approaches as part of R&D, with full ownership from idea to result
- Owning tasks end-to-end: from concept and implementation to post-release evaluation
- Building tools and automation for artists, animators, VFX artists, and UI teams
- Collaborating closely with the Art team: defining technical constraints and translating art requests into clear technical requirements for development
- 5+ years of experience with Unity and C#
- Experience working on midcore projects; shooter experience is a strong plus
- Deep understanding of rendering, lighting, reflections, and post-processing
- Strong knowledge of Shader Graph
- Experience with GPU/CPU profiling
- Experience optimizing particles and destruction systems
- Experience creating tools for art teams
- Experience with mobile, PC, and handheld platforms, including Steam Deck
- Ability to explain technical concepts to artists clearly, patiently, and in their language
