Cubic Games is a game development studio and part of the GDEV holding. We have grown from a small team into a leading game development studio with over 140 specialists. Our mission is to create unique pixel-style games, including the popular Pixel Gun 3D, which attracts more than 3 million monthly players.
We are currently working on a new project, Pixel Gun 2 a cross-platform PvP arena shooter and are looking for a talented 3D Artist (Character & Equipment / Generalist) to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Create low-poly characters and in-game assets (weapons and props)
- Work within a “cubic” / casual art style (no realism or complex sculpting)
- Produce clean and efficient UV maps tailored for pixel-texture requirements
- Create basic animations (idle and simple in-game animations)
- Integrate assets into Unity (setup, shaders, basic parameters)
- Work with concepts (including interpretation and refinement when needed)
- Collaborate with artists, technical artists, and the development team
Requirements
- Strong experience in 3D modeling (low-poly, hard surface)
- Solid understanding of model optimization and geometry (edge flow, topology)
- Experience with UV mapping
- Basic animation skills
- Experience integrating assets into a game engine
- Ability to work without sculpting
- Ability to work efficiently (average asset production time: 3–5 days)
- Ability to accurately follow or competently interpret concepts
Nice to Have
- Texturing skills (especially in stylized / pixel art styles)
- Background in concept art or strong artistic sense
- Ability to work without detailed orthographic references
- Experience in mobile game projects
- Versatility (generalist mindset)
