Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support data-driven decision-making by delivering reliable, high-quality data. This role focuses on optimizing data ingestion, structuring, and accessibility for analytics and reporting, ensuring stakeholders have timely, accurate insights to inform strategic and operational decisions.
About the Project
This project supports a global travel network focused on luxury and experiential journeys through improvements to its relational database and Azure data platform. The scope includes data platform design, architecture, development, and feature enhancement for marketing and reporting solutions.
About the Team
You will work closely with product owners, management, stakeholders, and other developers in a collaborative team environment. The team focuses on requirement clarification, solution design, code review, testing, and production support.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ingestion pipelines into Snowflake using Azure-native services
- Assess ingestion feasibility for new data sources
- Perform data profiling and validation
- Develop and optimize complex joins and transformations
- Monitor and improve pipeline reliability
- Collaborate with BI and Tableau teams
Requirements
- Snowflake (data modeling and performance optimization) 1 -2 years integrations
- Advanced SQL
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Blob Storage P
- ython or similar scripting language
- ETL / ELT patterns and data warehousing concepts
- CI/CD experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Experience with data quality frameworks like GX and Soda
Nice to Have
- API-based ingestion
- BI-heavy analytics environments
- Tableau support experience
- Agentic ai development focused on data modelling and snowflake
