Senior Big Data Developer
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Big Data Developer to join our team in Chișinău. This role is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact project for a global leader in media quality and advertising technology. With expertise in Python and a strong understanding of machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn (sklearn) and XGBoost.
Essential functions
- Develop and optimize data pipelines using Python.
- Work with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn and XGBoost to support model deployment.
- Utilize KServe and Kubernetes for model serving and deployment.
- Understand and maintain legacy Scala-based implementations without active development in Scala.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering solutions.
- Support existing Java/Gradle-based workflows as needed.
- Potentially contribute to UI development tasks involving JavaScript and Node.js.
Qualifications
- Python (at least 3 year of experience or already knows Scala)
- Java/Scala (1-2 years of experience)
- SQL (2-3 years of experience)
- Spark (2-3 years of experience)
- In-depth familiarity with concepts/architecture, experience in debugging jobs
- AWS (1-2 years of experience)
- Experience in deploying ML models at scale.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Would be a plus
- Exposure to UI technologies (JavaScript, Node.js)
- Client is currently moving from Databricks to AWS - Basic familiarity with ML processes will be a bonus
