Our flagship project, One State, is currently in soft launch and actively evolving. It is a complex live F2P product with a player-driven economy designed for long-term growth without regular wipes. Developing and maintaining such a system requires a deep understanding of player behavior, strong prioritization skills, and close collaboration across product, design, analytics, and live operations.
What we want to see:
- Experience working on F2P projects (mid-core / hardcore)
- Deep expertise in early funnel optimization: activation, onboarding, early retention (D1/D3/D7)
- Proven track record of improving FTUE metrics (activation rate, tutorial completion, drop-off reduction)
- Cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Monetization, and LiveOps teams
- Strong analytical skills: defining задач, interpreting data, and driving product decisions
- Ability to clearly formulate requirements for research and analytical dashboards
- Solid understanding of the role of analytics and a data-driven approach in product development
Additionally, it would be great to have:
- Experience with mobile mid-core / hardcore projects
- Understanding of mobile FTUE specifics (short sessions, fast onboarding)
- Strong exposure to MMO / RolePlay (RP) games
- Experience conducting UX testing, CustDev, and focus groups
- Experience working with progression systems and early-game balance
- Background in systems game design
- Basic knowledge of SQL / Python (ability to write simple database queries)
What you will be doing:
- Develop and improve the FTUE (First-Time User Experience), including onboarding, tutorials, and first-session experience
- Implement gameplay and meta-systems focused on new player activation and retention
- Analyze early-stage user behavior and identify growth opportunities (drop-offs, friction points)
- Conduct research in collaboration with analysts (funnels, cohorts, A/B testing)
- Own FTUE-related KPIs (activation rate, D1/D3 retention, tutorial completion)
- Prioritize and manage the backlog within the onboarding/Booster stream
- Run CustDev sessions, playtests, and UX research to improve the first user experience
- Contribute to shaping the long-term vision of the Booster / onboarding direction
