About the Position
We are looking for a Product Manager with travel domain experience to define and drive the hotel reshopping strategy. You will shape the commercial model, evaluate build versus partner options, and maintain a roadmap that balances immediate release goals with longer term product development.
This position requires strong travel industry experience and the ability to make independent product and commercial decisions in a complex stakeholder environment.
About the Project
A corporate travel company is consolidating its re-shopping activity – today delivered through several disconnected tools and teams, with varying processes across air and hotel – into a single standardized program. Several third-party solutions are already integrated alongside an in-house European product, but the target offering and its commercial model are both still open questions. Product ownership is established on the air side; you will own hotel re-shopping end to end – strategy, offering definition and commercial model – through to a first release.
About the Team
You will work closely with business stakeholders and senior internal parties to align product direction, commercial decisions, and delivery priorities.
Responsibilities
- Own the product definition for the hotel side, including the scope of the offering, target customer segments, value proposition, and the shape of a viable first release.
- Work with business stakeholders to align on a commercial model and assess the implications of moving an existing customer base onto it.
- Drive the "build vs partner" decision, covering existing vendors, alternative vendors, and in-house options.
- Define commercial packaging, pricing mechanics, and their downstream operational implications.
- Maintain a roadmap that separates the tactical first release from the longer-term automated product.
Requirements
- Product management experience in travel, including corporate travel, TMC, hotel distribution, or a travel tech vendor.
- Domain knowledge in travel product management.
- Experience owning a commercial model, including pricing design and migration of an existing customer base onto a new model.
- Experience making and defending build versus buy and vendor partnership decisions.
- Ability to deliver a deliberately imperfect first version that still includes manual operational effort, and explain that trade off to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to form and hold an independent position where internal parties are attached to tools they introduced or built.
Nice to Have
- Experience with hotel distribution platforms
- Experience in travel technology product strategy
- Exposure to operational model design or transition planning
