We’re creating OneState, a mobile life simulator built in Unity. Our art team is facing ambitious challenges as we develop the project with a realistic approach and high standards for visual quality and technical solutions.
We use modern technologies and tools, continuously refining our pipelines and aiming for the highest level of quality and immersion.
If you are seeking to be a part of an engaged team, work on captivating projects with minimal bureaucracy, and receive regular, constructive feedback, then you’ll find your place with us.
What we want to see:
- Experience working as a Technical Artist
- Strong knowledge of Unity, including hands-on experience with SRP/URP and Addressables/Asset Bundles.
- Solid understanding of mobile rendering, including mobile GPU architecture, the limitations of modern devices, and the specifics of different graphics APIs.
- Experience with profiling and optimization: identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks (CPU spikes, GPU overdraw, memory leaks, etc.).
- Experience working with 3D graphics: understanding the asset creation pipeline and how to optimize assets without compromising visual quality.
- Shader development skills: understanding how Vertex and Fragment shaders work, with the ability to prototype and build shaders
Additionally, it would be great to have:
- Experience writing and optimizing shaders in HLSL
- Proficiency in C# sufficient to develop useful Unity Editor tools and utilities
- Experience with external profiling tools such as Xcode, ARM Streamline, or similar
- Hands-on experience with Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, or Substance Designer
What you will be doing:
- Research & Development: Explore new rendering and graphics technologies, validate ideas through prototyping, and integrate the most effective solutions into the production pipeline
- Profiling & Optimization: Identify and eliminate CPU, GPU, and memory bottlenecks using Unity's built-in tools (Profiler, Frame Debugger, Memory Profiler) as well as external tools (Xcode, ARM Streamline, RenderDoc, etc.)
- Memory & Asset Management: Optimize build size, configure Addressables and Asset Bundles, monitor RAM usage, and identify and resolve memory leaks
- Technical Content Validation: Review new scenes, assets, and features created by artists to ensure they meet the project's technical requirements before integration
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with artists and graphics programmers to achieve the best balance between visual quality and performance
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation, guidelines, and best practices for the art team
Growth and development
Our project is actively growing, as well as the team that creates it. We invest in the growth of each specialist and regularly review salaries based on performance. Moreover, we have a promotion system that allows specialists to showcase their talents in more responsible positions.
Comfortable conditions
Work format: hybrid or office in Almaty, Tbilisi or Yerevan. Also we have flexible hours with the option of taking days off.
Care for employees
We offer sick days without salary loss, assistance in difficult life situations, no bureaucratic nightmares and processes for the sake of processes.
