At ChillBase we are working on One State which is a unique Social RolePlay game. Our analysts and marketers face daily challenges that force them to reconsider their approaches to player acquisition and retention. What we want to see:
- 4-6+ years of community management experience, with at least 3 of those in gaming (mobile gaming a strong plus).
- Native or fully fluent Japanese speaker.
- Fluent English (C1-C2). Business-level is the floor for internal comms.
- Experience using, managing, and editing Discord servers.
- Experience managing or training volunteer / unpaid admin teams.
- Familiarity with data-driven community operations.
- Availability for GMT+9 working hours for community-facing work.
- Understanding of mobile RP / social RP gaming culture.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience explaining decisions to communities and resolving conflicts professionally.
- Track record of taking over and scaling an existing community, not only launching new ones.
Additionally, it would be great to have:
- Experience with Role Play (RP) projects specifically
- Experience with content creator programs or influencer partnerships
- Experience launching a new community/region from scratch
- Familiarity with OneState or similar mobile RP/GTA-style games
- Experience with player research and structured feedback collection
- Other SEA language proficiency
What you will be doing:
- Manage the existing OneState JP community and drive its next growth phase.
- Lead the established StateAssist admin team: sustain quality, address turnover, coach admins into stronger performance, and recruit into gaps as needed.
- Own the regional Discord community: growth, engagement, and moderation quality.
- Moderate both in-game and external community platforms including Discord, Instagram, Facebook.
- Serve as the bridge between JP players and internal teams; translate community sentiment into actionable input for developers and cross-functional partners.
- Collect and organize player feedback for developers, surfacing actionable insights from the community.
- Create clear, engaging gameplay guides and tutorials for the JP region (translations or original JP-adapted content).
- Organize community events at a rhythm that respects JP holiday and event calendars.
- Manage the Content Creator Program in the JP region, including relationships with JP streamers, YouTubers, and content creators.
- Handle App Store and Play Store reviews for the JP region.
- Deliver structured monthly reports on regional community health.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and cross-regional CM peers.
