We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Okta Workforce Identity to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our identity and access management environment, improving lifecycle processes, and driving automation initiatives to reduce manual effort. The ideal candidate is an independent contributor who can quickly take ownership of Okta operations and deliver tangible improvements from day one.

- B2B contract (through Sole Proprietor entity)
Essential functions
- Manage and maintain the Okta Workforce Identity platform, including SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and integrations.
- Improve joiner, mover, and leaver (JML) processes to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Design and implement automations using Okta Workflows or similar tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve identity, authentication, and provisioning issues.
- Monitor and improve the stability, reliability, and security of Okta services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate applications and streamline access management.
- Document configurations, processes, and changes to support operational excellence and knowledge transfer.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual access management and increase automation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across identity and access management processes.
Qualifications
- Strong, recent hands-on experience with Okta Workforce Identity
- Experience with:
- SSO (SAML, OIDC)
- SCIM provisioning
- MFA and conditional access policies
- Lifecycle Management (JML processes)
- Experience with Okta Workflows (or similar automation tooling)
- Strong troubleshooting capability across authentication and provisioning issues
Would be a plus
- Exposure to Okta Identity Governance (OIG)
- Experience improving lifecycle processes and reducing manual access handling
