Senior Vehicle Artist
Key Responsibilities:
- Create exceptional 3D vehicle models, textures, and assets with meticulous attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Lead vehicle art direction and mentor junior artists on vehicle-specific workflows and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with art directors and technical teams to establish vehicle asset standards and pipelines.
- Optimize complex vehicle assets for AAA game performance while maintaining premium visual fidelity.
- Use advanced tools like Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, and Substance Suite to create industry-leading vehicle assets.
- Implement and troubleshoot vehicle assets in game engines like Unreal Engine, ensuring seamless integration.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Vehicle Artist in AAA game development or automotive visualization.
- Outstanding portfolio demonstrating mastery of vehicle modeling, hard-surface techniques, and realistic materials.
- Expert proficiency in 3D software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush) and texturing tools (e.g., Substance Painter, Photoshop).
- Deep understanding of PBR workflows, real-time rendering, and automotive materials.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor team members.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CAD data translation and automotive reference workflows.
- Knowledge of vehicle rigging and deformation systems.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Perforce, Git).
- Background in automotive design or mechanical engineering.
