Senior Unreal Engine UI Developer (C++)
We are seeking a Senior Unreal Engine UI Developer to implement and maintain player-facing UI systems for a cross-platform live product, integrating UI with gameplay and online data while keeping performance and usability high across input methods. You will collaborate with design and UI art to ship scalable runtime UI.
Responsibilities
- Implement UI screens, flows, and reusable components in Unreal Engine
- Own UI behavior end-to-end including navigation, focus, input routing, and error handling
- Integrate UI with asynchronous data sources such as services, player data, and remote configuration
- Design resilient loading states, caching strategies, and state transitions for runtime UI
- Collaborate with UI design and UI art to translate specifications into shippable implementations
- Debug and optimize UI performance and stability across frame time, memory, and draw cost
- Establish UI best practices, patterns, and maintainable architecture within the team
Requirements
- Senior-level experience (3+ years) shipping UI in Unreal Engine using UMG and Blueprints
- Hands-on experience building cross-platform UI navigation for controller and keyboard-mouse
- Strong leadership skills in owning UI features end-to-end and driving implementation quality
- Proven project skills working in ticket-based delivery and iterative live product environments
- Advanced profiling skills using Unreal tooling such as Unreal Insights and in-engine debuggers
- Strong collaboration skills with UI design, UI art, and engineering partners
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)
Nice to have
- C++ experience in Unreal Engine for extending UI frameworks and base classes
- Familiarity with CommonUI, CommonInput, and/or Slate
- Live-service experience with rapid iteration, hotfix mindset, and feature flags or remote config patterns
- Experience with Perforce version control in a professional team workflow
