We are seeking a UI/UX Engineer. You will create wireframes, prototypes and responsive UI for a global consumer tech product team, working onsite at the client's office in Shanghai. You will partner with product and engineering to turn concepts into accessible, consistent experiences, validate ideas through user research and improve designs with measurable feedback.
Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes to communicate UX and UI concepts
- Translate product requirements into user-centered flows, layouts and interaction patterns
- Maintain design consistency by applying design systems and established guidelines
- Conduct user research and usability testing, turning findings into clear design actions
- Design and implement responsive interfaces across devices using HTML5 and CSS3
- Collaborate daily with product managers and engineers to deliver feasible solutions
- Validate and optimize experiences using analytics and experimentation tools where applicable
- Document decisions, specs and handoffs in collaboration tools to support delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience creating wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs for web or app experiences
- Hands-on expertise with Sketch and at least one collaboration or handoff tool (Zeplin, InVision, Miro)
- Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design frameworks
- Understanding of design systems, component-based UI and consistent cross-platform UX
- Knowledge of web accessibility including WCAG and accessibility testing tools
- Experience with user research methods, usability testing and turning insights into improvements
- Familiarity with product delivery workflows and tools such as Jira and Notion
- Basic understanding of JavaScript and front-end constraints to partner effectively with engineers
Nice to have
- Experience with Ant Design (AntD) or similar enterprise UI libraries
- Experience with A/B testing tools and behavior analytics tools such as Hotjar
- Experience improving front-end performance through measurement and optimization
