Senior Testing Analyst
Project description
You will join the Model Risk Governance team within a global investment bank operating in the Financial Markets area. The project focuses on the delivery, testing and maintenance of pricing models, risk models and analytical infrastructure used across global markets. You will work at the intersection of business, technology, and quantitative teams (Quants/Strats), supporting the rollout of new models and services into the production environment. The systems include real-time data processing, risk reporting, and portfolio analytics used globally. Your role will ensure high-quality delivery through comprehensive testing and business analysis, including assessing upstream and downstream impacts of changes across complex systems.
Responsibilities
- 1. Test Automation:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Cucumber.
- Implement API automation testing strategies and frameworks.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across all layers of the application.
- Use of Copilot GitHub and AI knowledge and familiarity with AI concepts would be beneficial 2. Integration Testing:
- Conduct integration testing to ensure seamless interaction between different components of the system.
- Identify and resolve integration issues in a timely manner. 3. Performance Testing:
- Design and execute performance test plans to evaluate system performance under various conditions.
- Analyse performance test results and provide recommendations for improvements. 4. SDLC Knowledge:
- Apply a deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to all testing activities.
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, development, and testing. 5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity. 6. Independent Work:
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality results within defined timelines.
SKILLS
Must have
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Java and Cucumber for test automation.
- Strong expertise in API automation testing.
- Proficiency in performance testing tools and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in integration testing and resolving integration issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Able to support out of office hrs when needed i.e. . post 5 PM ( 2-3 times in a month , could be flexible – can start late on those days )
Nice to have
• Knowledge of financial markets (pricing, risk, financial instruments) • Experience working in investment banking or financial institutions
