Senior Test Automation Engineer in Python

We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer in Python to join an innovative team building a driverless robotaxi service.

In this position, you will contribute to defining, executing, and analyzing tests that address evolving risks throughout the development of automated driving systems. Your efforts will directly shape the safety, reliability, and performance of autonomous vehicles, resolving a key bottleneck in the development process.

Responsibilities

• Identify suitable tests from a range of sources, including legal compliance, competitor road collisions, and emerging capabilities
• Perform tests through various modalities such as simulation, closed course vehicle, and HiL bench testing
• Assess test results to determine both the effectiveness of the test and the performance of the AV
• Share and document test results with relevant stakeholders
• Build test cases within variable test tools
• Generate detailed test reports, including analysis and insights communication
• Partner with cross-functional teams to keep testing capabilities adaptable to evolving development risks

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in test automation, with a focus on automated driving systems
• Background in defining and executing testing for automated driving systems in simulation
• Proficiency in Python as the core scripting language for AV simulation tools, including scenario generation, test automation, and analyzing test result logs
• Expertise in data analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib
• Skills in creating SQL queries
• Capability to analyze test results and effectively share findings with team members
• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• Background in HiL and track testing
• Familiarity with Applied Intuition or comparable simulation tool suites
• Knowledge of C++
• Competency in Bash
