Project description
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 support for enterprise data platforms and cloud-based applications. The role involves managing production environments, ensuring system stability, and supporting data warehousing and batch processing systems. You will work across Azure-based infrastructure, microservices, and database ecosystems, ensuring adherence to ITIL service management practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for data platforms, batch systems, and microservices
- Manage incidents, problems, and changes in line with ITIL service management processes
- Monitor and support applications deployed on Azure, including Java-based microservices
- Perform Linux scripting for automation, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency
- Administer Windows environments, including Active Directory and security groups
- Manage and monitor job scheduling using Control-M and Cron
- Support data warehousing and ETL processes (DataStage/DBT)
- Work with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases for issue resolution and performance tuning
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution and deployments
- Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance through proactive monitoring
- Support audit, risk, and compliance activities, including asset management
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
SKILLS
Must have
- 5+ years strong Technical Support Engineer experience
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform
- Proficiency in Linux scripting and troubleshooting
- Good knowledge of Windows (Active Directory, security groups)
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M and Cron
- Experience supporting data warehousing and batch processing systems
- Experience managing Java/Microservices environments
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
- Exposure to ETL tools such as IBM DataStage or DBT
- Understanding of operational support, monitoring, and production environments
Nice to have
• Experience in asset management, risk, audit, and compliance processes
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring and logging tools
• Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
