Senior/Staff Python Developer

We are looking for an engineer with Platform Engineering and backend microservices experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing and deploying microservices to Kubernetes and a solid understanding of distributed systems. The primary programming language is Python.

Essential functions

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications and microservices.
• Work on Platform Engineering initiatives and application deployment.
• Deploy and operate containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Contribute to system design, including API architecture, scalability, performance, fault tolerance, and resilience.
• Integrate backend services with data pipelines and data processing systems.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployment.
• Experience with Platform Engineering and cloud-native environments.
• Experience designing and developing microservices is preferred.
• Strong understanding of system design, including:
  • SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • REST and/or gRPC APIs
  • Authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, OIDC)
  • Scalability and performance optimization
  • Fault tolerance and resilience patterns
• Understanding of data engineering workflows and how backend services integrate with data pipelines and processing systems.
• Availability to join evening calls (till 21:00)
• English level: Upper Intermediate or higher
