Senior Software Engineer (Sound)
We are looking for a Senior Developer to join our Sound Team.
What you will do:
- Design and develop robust, scalable audio playback systems for core gameplay and UI/lobby features using Unreal Engine and Wwise;
- Implement and maintain code that connects gameplay systems such as animation, game events, physics, VFX, and UI to Wwise events;
- Develop and fine-tune advanced haptic feedback and vibration patterns for different gamepads, ensuring tight synchronization between audio, gameplay events, and tactile feedback;
- Build efficient internal tools and pipelines, including Editor Tools and custom Blueprints, to improve team workflows and reduce engineering dependency;
- Profile and optimize audio systems for CPU, memory usage, and streaming performance across target platforms, including PC and consoles.
Skills and requirements:
- 4–5+ years of commercial experience in game development as a C++ Audio Programmer;
- Strong knowledge of modern C++ and solid hands-on experience with Unreal Engine (UE4 or UE5) architecture;
- Practical experience working with Blueprints in Unreal Engine;
- Excellent programmer-level knowledge of Audiokinetic Wwise, including: Wwise Unreal Integration Wwise SDK Spatial Audio;
- Strong understanding of RTPCs, States, and Switches;
- Hands-on experience with haptics integration for gamepads, including advanced use of DualSense features;
- Understanding of audio-to-haptics conversion principles and/or experience working with proprietary controller APIs;
- Strong foundation in algorithms and 3D math, including vectors and transforms, for spatial audio implementation.
- Experience with profiling and optimization tools such as Unreal Insights and Wwise Profiler;
- Good understanding of multithreading and memory management principles.
