Head of Legal
Our Team will be happy to bring into the fold an experienced Head of Legal!
The Legal function is an established and integral part of the company, supporting a live product, international operations, and a wide network of strategic partnerships. We are now looking for a Head of Legal to join Strikerz and lead this function at a strategic level, driving legal excellence and supporting the company’s continued global growth.
Responsibilities:
Team Management
- Manage and scale an effective Legal team with strong growth potential;
- Define team structure, ownership areas and ensure deep expertise across key legal domains;
- Establish efficient legal processes, workflows and transparent collaboration with business units;
- Drive hiring, development and performance of the Legal team.
Corporate and Compliance
- Advise on corporate law matters under Cyprus and English law;
- Supervise fiduciary providers and corporate secretarial services;
- Ensure proper maintenance of corporate structure and documentation (Cyprus and international entities);
- Oversee corporate relationships with affiliates;
- Partner with Finance on corporate structuring and related initiatives.
Privacy and Data Protection
- Maintain and develop company-wide privacy standards and policies;
- Support teams in reviewing products, features and initiatives from a data protection perspective;
- Oversee data flows and ensure compliance with applicable privacy frameworks;
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure data protection compliance across the company
Intellectual Property
- Advise on all IP matters, including trademarks, copyrights and product-related IP;
- Oversee IP portfolio management and handle key infringement cases;
Support licensing, copyright clearance and collaboration with partnerships teams.
Commercial Contracts
- Lead and negotiate key commercial agreements (licensing, marketing, publishing, partnerships, vendors, etc.);
- Partner with Product, Marketing and Business Development on strategic deals;
- Improve and scale contract workflows, templates and approval processes.
Product Compliance
- Support development of content moderation and compliance policies;
- Ensure alignment with platform, partner and industry requirements;
- Identify and mitigate product-related legal risks;
- Review product features for compliance (digital services, loot boxes, consumer protection, age ratings, advertising).
Requirements:
- Strong academic background in Law;
- 8+ years of legal experience (law firm, in-house or mixed), preferably in IT / gaming / digital products;
- Solid knowledge of EU regulations and English law;
- Proven experience in leading legal functions or teams;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Able to work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of seniority;
- Willing to share knowledge and mentor team members;
- Strong interest in the football industry and understanding of gaming trends is a plus.
