Senior Software Engineer
We’re looking for a versatile Software Engineer to join our team in building high-impact systems that power data management, automated pipelines, and interactive visualization. In this role, you’ll work closely with researchers to prototype and scale ideas into robust, production-ready systems. You’ll contribute across the stack—designing tools and services that accelerate experimentation and drive data-informed decisions.
Essential functions
Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable backend services, data pipelines, and APIs.
- Develop and maintain systems for managing structured data and running automated workflows.
- Build web-based interfaces and visualization tools to support monitoring.
- Ensure reliability, testability, and maintainability across services and components.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and researchers to scope and deliver features.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of industry experience in software development. (excluding internships)
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with modern development practices.
- Experience with relational databases and cloud-based object storage (e.g., S3).
- Knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, and distributed system design.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks or visualization libraries.
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- BS/MS in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and deploying scalable, production-grade systems.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to performance and reliability.
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms or workflow orchestration tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- BS/MS in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience
