Senior SAP CAP Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications with modern frameworks and tools to address enterprise business needs
• Build microservices and event-driven solutions crafted for high-load, enterprise-grade environments, ensuring both reliability and scalability
• Use in-memory database technologies to achieve blazing-fast application performance
• Contribute to innovative projects embedding AI capabilities into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to boost efficiency and quality
• Operate within an Agile environment, adopting DevOps practices to accelerate delivery and strengthen team collaboration

Requirements

• Background in software development with at least 3 years of hands-on experience
• Showcase of ability to deliver application features on schedule that fully comply with functional specifications, SAP product standards, quality criteria, and project milestones
• Skills in backend development using Java, REST/CXF, MVC frameworks such as Springboot, the CAP programming model, and SQL
• Expertise in contributing to requirements review, design authoring and review, test scenario review, and code review processes
• Capability to implement automated unit tests that achieve full code coverage
• Competency in executing test plans through fully automated functional tests, covering both positive and negative test scenarios
• Capability to diagnose and resolve internal defects and customer issues within defined SLA timelines
• Familiarity with tools including Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, JUnit, Karate, Postman, QMate, qTest, and Selenium for development, testing, and project tracking
• Proficiency in English communication (B2 level or higher)

Nice to have

• Background in working with a major cloud hyperscaler such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a strong plus
• Understanding of microservice architectures and event-driven design is highly appreciated
• Knowledge of additional SAP products is viewed as a bonus
• Flexibility to use Agile methodologies and apply practical DevOps skills, including CI/CD and automation, is a plus
• Interest in AI-powered SDLC processes serves as a great differentiator
