Senior .NET Developer with .NET Core and MVC, Legacy Modernization Platform

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer who will contribute to modernizing a legacy platform using .NET technologies and AI assisted development tools. You will work with a large codebase, translate legacy logic into modern architecture, and continuously improve development efficiency through AI frameworks. This position involves working in the US time zone and is subject to a background check.

About the Project

The project focuses on migrating a large legacy system from Delphi and ASP Classic to a monolithic .NET application. The initiative leverages AI driven development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality and reliability. It is a technically complex environment that requires strong analytical thinking and ownership.

About the Team

You will work in a focused engineering team collaborating with developers and occasionally with client representatives. The team emphasizes code quality, fast iteration cycles, and continuous improvement of development practices using AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate legacy code from Delphi and ASP Classic into modern .NET MVC applications using AI-assisted development tools.
• Utilize AI coding platforms in both Plan Mode and Agent Mode to support software design, implementation, testing, and code review activities.
• Create, edit, maintain, and continuously improve: Prompts, Development skills/workflows
• Custom AI agents for code implementation, validation, testing, and review
• Drive continuous improvements to AI-assisted development processes and internal engineering frameworks.
• Review and validate large volumes of AI-generated code while ensuring quality, maintainability, and compliance with engineering standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate technical solutions when required.
• Identify opportunities to increase development efficiency through automation and AI-enabled workflows.
• Contribute to modernization strategy, best practices, and long-term platform evolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in .NET development.
• Strong expertise with: .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, Design patterns
• Hands-on experience working with AI coding tools and AI-assisted software development platforms.
• Experience using AI development environments in both: Plan Mode, Agent Mode
• Proven experience creating, editing, optimizing, and maintaining: Prompts, AI skills/workflows, Custom AI agents used for code generation, implementation, validation, testing, and review
• Ability to effectively review and validate significant volumes of AI-generated code.
• Experience improving AI-driven development processes, engineering workflows, or internal tooling.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work within large, complex codebases.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to code quality.
• English communication skills sufficient for collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
• Availability to work within US time zones and willingness to undergo a background check.

Nice to Have

• Experience with legacy modernization and migration projects.
• Familiarity with Delphi and/or ASP Classic.
