We are looking for a skilled Senior Host Developer to join our team. In this position, you will play a key part in shaping and enhancing essential mainframe solutions that power core banking operations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help deliver dependable, high-performing applications that align with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the creation and advancement of core banking applications that underpin essential business functions
- Perform corrective, adaptive, and evolutionary maintenance on mission-critical applications with strict high-availability requirements
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents to limit disruption to banking operations
- Support functional, integration, and certification testing to secure application stability before release
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in software development or a comparable field
- Hands-on background in application development with COBOL on IBM z/OS
- Working expertise in batch process programming using JCL
- Proficiency in transactional application development with CICS
- Solid mastery of IBM Db2 and SQL databases for managing data and running queries
- Practical experience in AI Solution Engineering to design and deliver AI-powered capabilities within enterprise systems
- Background in Gen AI Application Development for creating solutions built on generative AI models
- Real-world experience with Gen AI Assisted Development to speed up coding, testing, and delivery activities
- Skill in Prompt Engineering for crafting effective, reliable, and finely tuned prompts for AI models
- Strong written and spoken command of English and Spanish at a B2 level or above

- Deeper expertise with COBOL for supporting and improving legacy business-critical systems
- Broader background with CICS for building and sustaining transactional applications
- Advanced JCL skills for automating and orchestrating batch processing workflows
