The current system is a monolithic .NET application coordinated through a single "primary register" per store. Client is re-architecting this into an offline-first, event-driven platform: AWS microservices/Lambda in the cloud, syncing to "dumb" in-store devices (registers, kitchen displays, kiosks) running on Windows, Linux, and Android. Team 1 owns the foundational platform — the shared AWS backend architecture and the on-device framework — that Teams 2 (front-end register flows) and 3 (in-store/hardware integrations) build on top of.
