Senior Delivery Manager
We are seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to oversee pre-sales and the delivery of complex, large-scale programs in the energy sector.
This position is dedicated to advancing modernization and digital transformation efforts through the implementation of both off-the-shelf and enterprise software solutions. The successful candidate will bring extensive delivery management experience, a background in managing multi-stream initiatives, and the ability to navigate complex, multi-vendor settings. The preferred location for this role is Athens or the surrounding area.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of complex program delivery, ensuring projects meet business goals, deadlines, and budget requirements
- Lead pre-sales efforts, including shaping solutions, preparing estimates, and engaging directly with clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives, to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Oversee delivery governance, risk assessment, and escalation management across all active programs
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration of external solutions
- Champion the execution of digital transformation and modernization initiatives within the energy industry
- Uphold high standards for project delivery, track key performance indicators, and drive ongoing improvements
- Mentor and support delivery teams, encouraging accountability and high achievement
- Oversee financial aspects of programs, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss management
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior delivery, program, or architecture leadership capacity
- Involvement in at least 8 major projects or experience launching 2 or more products or significant product features to market
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale, enterprise-level programs with multiple workstreams, teams of 40+ FTEs, and multi-year durations
- Track record of leading complex programs in the energy sector, such as Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, or Utilities
- Strong experience in pre-sales activities, including RFP/RFI processes, solution development, estimation, and client presentations
- Background in managing large, multi-vendor project environments
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies, including PMI, PRINCE2, and Agile approaches
- Advanced skills in stakeholder management, particularly with executive-level engagement
- Educational background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Greek at B2+ level
- Exceptional written and spoken English at C1 business level, with strong presentation skills
