Looking for a Business Systems Analyst with strong EDI and SAP Order Management experience to support partner onboarding, integrations, and end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes
Essential functions
- Onboard and support EDI trading partners in the order management/O2C domain, serving as the main liaison between business, engineering, and external partners
- Gather and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for EDI integrations
- Develop, review, and maintain EDI mappings and transaction sets (ANSI X12: 850, 855, 856, 810, 860; EDIFACT: ORDERS, ORDRSP, DESADV, INVOIC) across trading partners
- Support SAP (ECC/S4HANA) order management and O2C process integrations, including API contract definition and JSON/XML payload handling
- Analyze EDI files and integration payloads to troubleshoot and resolve mapping, partner data, and system errors
- Monitor integration health using tools such as Splunk/CloudWatch and respond to production incidents within SLA
- Own end-to-end testing: scenario creation, partner testing, UAT coordination, cutover, and go-live support
- Produce functional design documents, mapping specs, and partner onboarding documentation
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams using Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow; run basic SQL checks for data validation
Qualifications
Core Responsibilities & Experience
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Proven experience onboarding and supporting EDI trading partners in the order management / O2C domain, acting as the main liaison between business, engineering, and external partners.
- Strong background in requirements gathering, translating business needs into functional and technical requirements for integrations.
- Hands-on experience with EDI standards and transaction sets, including:ANSI X12: 850, 855, 856, 810, 860
EDIFACT: ORDERS, ORDRSP, DESADV, INVOIC (preferred) - Deep understanding of EDI data structures, including segments, loops, elements, qualifiers, and mandatory vs. optional fields.
- Experience defining, reviewing, and supporting EDI mappings, including data attribute mapping across systems and with external partners.
- Familiarity with EDI translation and integration platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling, MuleSoft, Boomi) and connectivity protocols (AS2, SFTP).
Systems, Architecture & Integration
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (ECC / S/4HANA), specifically order management and O2C processes.
- Experience developing and supporting SAP business process integrations.
- Understanding of integration architectures, including:
Middleware layers
File-based vs. API-based integrations
Batch vs. near-real-time processing
Upstream and downstream system dependencies - Experience defining API contracts and working with JSON/XML payloads.
Testing, Troubleshooting & Support
- Ability to analyze raw EDI files and integration payloads to perform root cause analysis for failures (mapping issues, partner data issues, system errors).
- Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, CloudWatch) and familiarity with alerting frameworks.
- Ownership of end-to-end testing activities, including:Test scenario creation (happy path and edge cases)
Partner testing and UAT coordination
Cutover, go-live, and post-production support - Support production incidents and SLA-driven issue resolution.
Documentation & Tools
- Strong documentation skills, including:Functional Design documents
Mapping specifications
Partner onboarding documentation - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow.
- Ability to perform basic SQL queries for validation and data checks.
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
