About the Position
As the primary Business Analyst on this engagement, you will work closely within a senior delivery team, serving as a critical link between complex business operations and technical data architecture. This high-visibility, client-facing role involves direct interaction with Managing Directors and Finance leaders to gather requirements and convert them into clear, actionable data specifications.
About the Project
This is a focused, high-impact six-week data strategy and analytics engagement designed to solve critical challenges in real-time project profitability tracking. The project aims to transition the Client from a fragmented operational data stack to a consolidated executive view featuring a dedicated data warehouse layer and Percentage-of-Completion (POC) revenue modeling. The final deliverables include a design-ready data architecture, a profitability analytics blueprint, and a scalable playbook for international rollout.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate stakeholder interviews and workshops across finance, sales, operations, and executive leadership.
- Manage the use case catalogue and drive the formal definition and sign-off of business KPIs and metrics.
- Map end-to-end POC profitability processes to identify and document breaks in the data chain.
- Quantify the business case by linking identified data gaps to their tangible commercial and financial impact.
- Partner with Data Architects and Engineers to translate high-level business requirements into technical data model inputs.
- Contribute to the reporting blueprint and assist in generalizing project artifacts into a reusable delivery playbook.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst specifically within data, Business Intelligence (BI), or analytics projects.
- Exceptional facilitation skills with the ability to lead discussions across diverse audiences, from technical IT teams to C-suite executives.
- Functional proficiency with leading BI platforms such as Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Demonstrated expertise in defining KPIs, metric logic, and data governance/ownership structures.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation under strict deadlines.
Nice to Have
- Functional knowledge of Percentage-of-Completion (POC) or other project-based revenue recognition accounting models.
- Hands-on exposure to ERP systems within the manufacturing or construction industries.
- Experience conducting data strategy or data maturity assessments.
- Prior background in management consulting or a professional services delivery model.
