We are looking for a Product Owner with a solid understanding of Salesforce development and architecture principles and strong experience in API design (Apigee, Mulesoft, Salesforce APIs). This Product Owner will support one of multiple Salesforce development teams working on the evolution of the loyalty technology platform that is currently in the process of transformation to Salesforce Loyalty Management. The role involves owning the backlog for the assigned Salesforce team, writing highly detailed user stories for Salesforce development and API integrations, and ensuring alignment with architectural standards and the broader multi-team Salesforce ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Own and prioritize the product backlog for a dedicated Salesforce development team
- Translation of business requirements into clear, technically informed Salesforce user stories covering Apex logic, platform automation, and flow-based orchestration
- Define stories addressing trigger behavior, governor-limit considerations and Salesforce data model design
- Specify integration behavior using APIs, middleware and platform events
- Ensure each story meets Salesforce best practices and includes robust acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with architects and integration teams to design APIs using Salesforce Integration frameworks, Mulesoft and Apigee
- Define user stories covering REST API design, versioning and lifecycle management
- Cover authentication, security and middleware orchestration patterns within user stories
- Work with Product managers and Salesforce platform architects to ensure backlog items align to the target Salesforce architecture
- Manage dependencies with other Salesforce development teams and participate in solution discussions, reviewing architecture diagrams and integration patterns
- Provide clarifications to developers and testers throughout the sprint lifecycle and review delivered work for completeness
- Participate in demos involving Salesforce UI flows, API calls (e.g. Postman) and data checks including SOQL queries
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Salesforce Architecture
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery and the ability to break down features into well-defined, incremental stories
- Solid knowledge of Apex fundamentals, flows and triggers, including automation and SOQL queries
- Familiarity with Salesforce architecture principles
- Hands-on understanding of REST API fundamentals along with experience using Apigee and Mulesoft
- Understanding of API governance, security and enterprise integration models
- Capability to interpret architectural diagrams and validate functionality via UI flows, API calls or simple data queries
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts to business and technical stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in English (B2+/C1)
