Product Manager - User Stories

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager – User Stories to support the strategic development of our product roadmap and drive the creation of detailed user stories that align business objectives with development initiatives. This role bridges business sponsors, technical teams and end-users to ensure delivered solutions meet intended functional goals and user experience standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Product Manager in the strategic development and maintenance of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment between business objectives and development initiatives
• Own the preparation and continuous refinement of the product backlog, ensuring all items are clearly defined, prioritized and ready for development cycles
• Convert high-level requirements into detailed user stories, articulating the 'who,' 'what,' and 'why' for each feature from the end-user's perspective
• Lead backlog grooming sessions, collaborating with the development team to elaborate on stories and define clear, verifiable acceptance criteria that satisfy the business requirement
• Participate actively in sprint demonstrations, providing critical, business-focused feedback to the development team to ensure the delivered solution meets the intended user experience and functional goals
• Manage and update the release notes document, clearly communicating new features, enhancements and fixes to internal stakeholders and end-users for each product release
• Act as the primary liaison between business sponsors, technical teams and end-users, facilitating meetings and ensuring alignment

Requirements

• 10-15 years of overall professional experience
• Background in Product Management
• Expertise in Product Roadmap development and Product Vision
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), including writing clear, INVEST-compliant user stories and defining precise acceptance criteria
• Capability to effectively gather, analyze, prioritize and document functional and non-functional requirements from diverse stakeholders, and manage them throughout the product lifecycle
• Skills in mapping, analyzing and optimizing complex "as-is" and "to-be" business processes to identify gaps, reduce waste and recommend strategic improvements
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to facilitate meetings (like grooming and demos) between business sponsors, technical teams and end-users
• Competency in critical thinking and problem solving, with the capacity to analyze data and business challenges, think about trade-offs and propose data-driven solutions that address root causes and deliver measurable business value
• Flexibility to work with US (PST stakeholders), be available for meetings/calls between 7PM to 9:30 PM IST
