We are seeking an Operations Support Engineer to join our Azure Platform Team. This role focuses on day-to-day operational support of the Azure platform and acts as a key interface between stakeholders and the technical platform teams. The position is well-suited for someone who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with stakeholder interaction in a cloud platform environment and requires a hands-on mindset, basic scripting capabilities, and foundational knowledge of Azure services, C#, and CI/CD pipeline configuration. Please note that 2-4 business trips per year to Veldhoven (Eindhoven) are required for team buildings, PI plannings, and similar events.
Please include info that this role requires working in a hybrid mode from any office in Poland (Krakow, Wroclaw, Warsaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Poznan, Lodz) 3 times a week.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for Azure platform-related operational questions and issues
- Engage with stakeholders to gather, clarify and prioritize issues
- Translate stakeholder input into clear technical problem descriptions
- Communicate status, progress and resolutions clearly and consistently
- Provide support for day-to-day operations of the Azure platform
- Resolve low-to-medium complexity incidents and service requests
- Perform initial troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, and escalate complex issues to platform engineers when required
- Monitor platform health and respond to alerts
- Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Bash or similar) to automate operational tasks
- Perform basic Azure configuration changes and operational fixes, and support minor code-level investigations including reading and understanding C# code
- Provide basic support for CI/CD pipelines, including build and release pipelines, pipeline configuration and troubleshooting, and YAML-based pipeline definitions at a basic level
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks and FAQs, document known issues and resolutions, and identify recurring issues to suggest automation or process improvements
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure including subscriptions, resource groups, Virtual Machines, storage and networking fundamentals
- Understanding of monitoring and logging concepts (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics – basic level)
- Hands-on scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash or similar)
- Basic knowledge of C# (reading, understanding, small changes)
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipeline configuration
- Understanding of IT operations and incident management
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder focus
- Structured problem-solving approach with a proactive, hands-on and service-oriented mindset
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Basic DevOps or platform engineering knowledge
