Commit is looking for an Observability Specialist to join our Observability & Automation team, working on both defense and civilian projects.
Responsibilities
Design, consult on, and implement advanced Observability solutions.
Deploy, configure, and integrate platforms such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, and other Observability tools.
Maintain, upgrade, and support existing Observability environments.
Work directly with customers, including pre-sales activities, solution design, and architecture.
Lead end-to-end technical projects and professional processes.
Requirements
Requirements
At least 3 years of proven experience in Observability / Monitoring.
Hands-on experience installing, implementing, and managing Observability platforms such as Grafana, Zabbix, ELK, Prometheus, SevOne, Instana, and OpenTelemetry (significant advantage).
Experience with DX NetOps / UIM / SolarWinds (advantage).
Strong experience working with BigFix.
Hands-on experience with the following protocols: SNMP, WMI, NetFlow, SSH, Telnet, and Netconf (required).
Experience in one or more of the following areas from a monitoring or operations perspective:
Networking: routers, switches, and routing protocols.
IT infrastructure: servers, operating systems, storage, and databases.
Experience with CSS, HTML, Regex, and data formats such as JSON and XML.
Experience with network performance monitoring and management solutions.
Scripting and automation experience using one or more of the following: Python, Shell, Perl, JavaScript, SQL, or Bash.
API development – significant advantage.
Experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes – significant advantage.
Experience building dashboards and writing complex queries in ELK, Splunk, or Grafana – significant advantage.
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform – significant advantage.
Willingness to undergo a civilian security clearance.
