About the Position
We are looking for a Middle Tech Support / Junior DevOps Specialist to join our infrastructure and operations team. We are open to candidates with a strong technical support or systems administration background who are interested in developing their DevOps skills. We are willing to train the right person and provide opportunities to grow into a more advanced DevOps role.
In this role, you will help monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and support production infrastructure across multiple environments. You will work closely with developers and engineering teams to investigate technical issues, maintain system availability, and support infrastructure and deployment processes.
The position involves working on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule:
• 3 consecutive day shifts — 12 hours each
• 3 days off
• 3 consecutive night shifts — 12 hours each
• 3 days off
About the Team
You will work within a cross functional team consisting of DevOps Engineers, System Administrators, Software Developers, and Client Side Engineering Specialists. The team operates in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on knowledge sharing, operational excellence, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support infrastructure systems across multiple environments.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to servers, networks, databases, applications, and infrastructure services.
- Provide technical support for Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and alerts using Zabbix or similar monitoring tools.
- Support and troubleshoot web services such as Apache, Nginx, and IIS.
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Support cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Assist with deployments, configuration changes, and routine infrastructure operations.
- Work with development and engineering teams to investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Support CI/CD processes using Jenkins, TeamCity, Git, and related tools.
- Work with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or similar solutions.
- Follow established procedures for incident investigation, escalation, and resolution.
- Contribute to infrastructure automation and process improvements as technical skills develop.
- Learn and grow into more advanced DevOps and infrastructure responsibilities with support from the team.
Requirements
- 1–2+ years of experience in technical support, system administration, infrastructure operations, or a related technical role.
- Good understanding of Linux and/or Windows Server environments.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues involving servers, networks, applications, or services.
- Basic experience with web servers such as Apache, Nginx, or IIS is a plus.
- Basic understanding of databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Zabbix or another monitoring platform is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD concepts.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Ansible, Puppet, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Basic scripting knowledge, preferably Python, is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn DevOps, infrastructure, and automation technologies.
- Ability to work independently during shifts while knowing when to escalate issues.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work the required rotating 12-hour day/night shift schedule.
