We are inviting a Middle Accountant to join our global shared service Accounts Payable team in Argentina and help maintain accurate financial records and timely payments. You will post expenses under US GAAP, complete SAP month-end close, and partner with stakeholders, auditors, and statutory accountants to resolve issues. Responsibilities
- Check expenditure documentation to ensure accounting information is correct and complete
- Coordinate and process EPAM vendor payments, including domestic/international wires and batch and individual transactions
- Record expenses in compliance with US GAAP, along with related accounts payable and banking activities
- Execute monthly closing activities in SAP while following internal procedures
- Collaborate with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping questions and issues
- Prepare explanations and provide supporting records to Senior or Lead Accountants for assigned entities when needed
- Address requests from internal and external stakeholders, attend meetings, and prepare documents for audits
- Participate in process improvement projects with the IT team, identify optimization areas, and support testing of new processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 2 years of relevant professional accounting experience
- Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel capabilities for reporting and analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and adherence to compliance requirements
- Strong accountability and ownership of assigned tasks
- Ability to follow established procedures and operational guidelines
- Continuous improvement mindset and motivation to develop skills
- Proven teamwork skills within multicultural work settings
- English B2+ (Upper-Intermediate) or higher proficiency in writing and speaking
Nice to have
- ACCA or DipIFR certification
- Hands-on SAP experience for accounting tasks
- Exposure to Accounts Payable or Treasury operations
