We are seeking a Middle Accountant to strengthen our global shared service Accounts Payable team based in Argentina. You will support accurate AP accounting, payments, and US GAAP bookkeeping in SAP while partnering with local statutory accountants and auditors. Responsibilities
- Validate accounting attributes on expenditure supporting documents to ensure correctness
- Execute bank payments to EPAM counterparties, including domestic and international wire transfers plus batch and individual payments
- Maintain US GAAP bookkeeping for expenditures by type and post related accounts payable and bank payments
- Finalize monthly close for assigned SAP accounts in line with established procedures
- Coordinate with local statutory accountants to address bookkeeping questions when required
- Prepare explanations and supporting documentation for the Senior or Lead Accountant across relevant companies as needed
- Handle internal and external inquiries, join meetings, and provide audit support documents
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements with the IT development team, identify opportunities, and test new enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 2 years of accounting work experience
- Proficiency with MS Office and advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to compliance
- Strong ownership mindset and accountability for assigned activities
- Ability to operate within defined rules, procedures, and controls
- Willingness to invest in continuous self-development and learning
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach in multicultural environments
- English proficiency at B2+ (Upper-Intermediate) or higher, written and spoken
Nice to have
- ACCA or DipIFR certification
- Experience using SAP for day-to-day accounting operations
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable or Treasury processes
