We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer (AWS) to drive the design and delivery of scalable cloud platforms, lead automation initiatives, and guide cross-functional teams in building robust CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native solutions. This role combines hands-on technical contribution with leadership responsibilities, ensuring successful delivery of complex cloud and DevOps initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation and deployment of scalable and reliable cloud platforms aligned with business and enterprise needs, driving continuous technical and operational improvements
- Maintain and enhance automation processes and scripts to support scalable and repeatable workflows
- Develop automation for migrating repositories from SVN/Jenkins to GitHub, support repository setup post-migration and assist with build/deployment failures
- Improve build and deployment speed, enhance developer experience with CI/CD and optimize end-to-end integrations
- Offer hands-on support to troubleshoot and assist development teams in resolving build or deployment failures
- Establish and maintain technical standards, best practices and documentation to ensure efficient, well-governed development and operational workflows
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical designs and recommend appropriate tools and solutions
- Drive cross-team collaboration on complex initiatives and special projects, proactively identifying risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies
- Serve as a technical point of accountability, balancing hands-on contribution with leadership responsibilities to ensure successful delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably TypeScript
- Expertise in SVN/Jenkins, Jenkins infrastructure and Jenkins runners
- Skills in GitHub, GitHub Actions/workflows and CI/CD best practices
- Capability to utilize Claude Skills and Copilot
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation and Docker, along with cloud-based databases
- Background in Cloud Platform engineering, cloud-native application development and automated testing
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk and OpenTelemetry
- Strong troubleshooting skills in cloud infrastructure, networking and security best practices
- Competency in performance optimization
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English, with client-facing experience
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Python or Java
- Familiarity with security tools and fixing security vulnerabilities
- Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP), firewalls and basic troubleshooting and monitoring
