Java Full Stack Developer
We are seeking a versatile, curious, and energetic Software Engineer to join a high-performing, multi-functional development team. Essential functions
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and enhance user interfaces using React or Angular
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs using JSON/XML
- Design and manage complex data structures and data processing workflows
- Work with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, or similar
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Scrum teams
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, and continuous integration pipelines
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects impacting application functionality
- Support the adoption of new technologies and contribute to architecture improvements
- Learn and apply emerging technologies to enhance scalability, performance, and reliability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- 5-7 year of software development experience
- Experience in backend development using Java/Spring Boot
- Basic experience in frontend development using React or Angular
- Working knowledge of REST APIs and data formats (JSON/XML)
- Familiarity with relational databases
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with a growth and learning mindset
- Ability to work under guidance and ask thoughtful questions to improve solutions
Would be a plus
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Knowledge of test-driven development and automated test frameworks
- Experience in the payments or financial services industry
- Understanding of system scalability, security, and high-availability architectures
- Strong business awareness and ability to align technical solutions with business needs
