Balancing heroes, their skills and RPG stats, as well as monsters, bosses, and dungeons.
Designing and balancing event mini-games.
Contributing to the design and development of gameplay mechanics and systems.
Validating balance through calculations and simulations and tuning it based on playtest results and analytics data.
Creating and maintaining clear, up-to-date design documentation, including GDDs, feature specs, and balance documentation, for the development, analytics, production, and QA teams.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including analysts, QA specialists, developers, artists, and other team members.
Requirements:
3+ years of game design experience on mobile F2P titles.
Hands-on level design experience, including level building, difficulty tuning, and playtesting.
Experience playing mobile RPGs, Vampire Survivors–like games such as Vampire Survivors, and survival games.
Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets and experience working with JSON and/or XML configuration files.
The ability to build balance models and progression curves and take a systematic approach to tuning game balance.
Practical experience using LLMs in day-to-day work.
Proficiency in Russian language.
Strong mathematical skills, including knowledge of probability theory and statistics, as well as the ability to work with functions and curves.
The ability to use analytics and product metrics to make data-driven decisions.
The ability to deconstruct successful games and explain why their systems work.
The ability to produce clear GDDs, feature specs, and balance documentation.
Strong professional communication skills.
Nice to have:
LiveOps experience, including work on events, tournaments, battle passes, seasonal activities, and rewards.
A good understanding of mid-core genres and game systems, including 4X strategy, RPGs, hero collection, battlers, base building, and survival strategy.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python for running simulations and automating calculations, along with an understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
We offer:
A salary paid in USD or GEL, according to preference
