Fullstack (React + Node) Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Full‑Stack Engineer to join a growing team supporting a leading U.S. education technology company. In this role, you will design and build scalable, high‑performance backend and frontend solutions using modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies. You will work across a cloud‑native architecture, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to solve complex technical challenges, improve system reliability, and drive technical excellence. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance solutions using JavaScript / TypeScript
• Lead technical decisions in Node.js backend development and modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React)
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues across complex systems
• Participate in and drive code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical improvements Improve system observability, monitoring, logging, and error handling
• Ensure high code quality through testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years' experience with Typescript
• 2+ years' experience with a modern frontend framework (e.g. React)
• Experience with NodeJS server-side development
• Experience with database technologies (ideally NoSql DBs and MongoDB)
• Experience (professional or personal) with using and integrating the latest AI coding technologies: e.g. LLMs, Model Context Protocol, Claude Code, Github Copilot
• Strong problem-solving ability and experience working within complex systems and large code bases
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a self-driven way
