We're looking for a Director, Technical Delivery/Programme Manager (Financial Services) to join our team Dublin, Ireland where you will act as a key driving force across our Financial Services portfolio.
This role is designed for a delivery leader who understands the challenges of introducing change into high-availability systems in strongly regulated environments while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment and keeping them onside. You will be encouraged to bring a ‘point of view’, influence senior stakeholders and steer technology transformations as client organisations adapt to an AI-integrated software landscape.

Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end accountability for executing complex, large-scale technology programmes from discovery to operational readiness aligned with client strategies
- Lead delivery of software engineering, cloud infrastructure and platform modernisation initiatives within regulated banking and payments environments
- Manage multiple workstreams ensuring delivery excellence and alignment with objectives
- Establish robust governance including programme budgets, resource planning, risk management and commercial performance
- Partner with client executives at C-level translating technology roadmaps into actionable business value
- Mitigate delivery risks related to transaction integrity, processing downtime, data protection and financial regulatory compliance
- Guide execution of AI-enabled transformation initiatives including machine learning, automation and cognitive tools
- Support pre-sales by contributing technical proposals, effort estimations and development of statements of work for outcome-based models
- Foster a culture of technical excellence providing mentorship and leadership to top-performing engineering teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- Strong ability to influence, build confidence and win over the room with senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills at all organisational levels
- Extensive experience in technical delivery or programme management leadership driving large-scale software engineering or systems integration programmes
- Proven success managing distributed engineering and delivery teams of 50+ across multiple geographies
- Hands-on background in software development, cloud infrastructure or solution architecture enabling effective collaboration with technical teams
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance including PSD2, GDPR and PCI DSS as well as security frameworks
- Commercial acumen demonstrated through programme budget oversight, contract negotiation and margin management
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders bridging strategic priorities and technical execution
- Understanding of modern data architectures and awareness of AI/ML concepts with interest in automation
