Chief KDB Engineer
We are seeking a Chief KDB Engineer to drive the deployment of KX Insights, batch ETL workflows, and end-of-day data integration from OMS and ICE sources in a cloud environment. You will lead integration and enablement while collaborating closely with a Cloud Engineering Lead to operate the platform in AWS.
Responsibilities
- Lead deployment of KX Insights in AWS with an operations-ready setup
- Design batch ETL processing to load, transform, and validate end-of-day datasets
- Build integrations to ingest end-of-day data from OMS and ICE sources
- Coordinate enablement activities to help partner teams adopt the platform effectively
- Define integration patterns, interfaces, and data flows across components
- Collaborate with a Cloud Engineering lead to host, operate, and support the platform
- Troubleshoot pipeline and platform issues to maintain stability and reliability
- Document architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures for ongoing support
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with kdb+ engineering and q development
- 2+ years of leadership experience leading engineering delivery and technical direction
- Strong project delivery skills across integration and data platform rollouts
- Hands-on AWS skills to support hosting and operational readiness
- Strong ETL skills for batch processing and end-of-day pipelines
- Strong data integration skills with OMS and ICE end-of-day feeds
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to align across engineering partners and clients
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) for daily collaboration and documentation
