Essential functions
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience overall and 4+ years experience in Data Engineering roles.
- Extensive experience with the Hadoop ecosystem and Spark (batch and streaming processing).
- Demonstrated proficiency with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Expert-level SQL skills for complex data manipulation and querying.
- Strong programming background in Java and/or Scala.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language, with a preference for Python.
- Desire and ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
- Ability to proactively identify and solve engineering problems
- Good interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Design, build, and optimize robust data pipelines using big data technologies.
- Implement and manage data solutions on cloud platforms.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance.
