AWS platform engineer with knowledge on Azure

About the Position

We are looking for Senior Platform Engineers to design, build, and operate a modern internal developer platform across AWS and Azure. The role focuses on Kubernetes, GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD automation, and self-service tooling that helps engineering teams deploy and manage services more efficiently. The shift timings will be 7AM to 4PM IST.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate infrastructure in AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• EKS / AKS / Kubernetes administration.
• Build and maintain an internal developer portal (Backstage), including scaffolder templates that provision infrastructure and register services for self-service use by engineering teams.
• Implement Kubernetes-native infrastructure provisioning using Crossplane, paired with GitOps delivery (Flux).
• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance across GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform; automate operational workflows with Python and Bash.
• Administer and secure Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows server environments.
• Own production monitoring, alerting, and incident response across the platform.
• Partner with engineering teams to reduce onboarding friction and improve developer experience through platform tooling.

Requirements

• Good experience in DevOps, SRE, systems administration, or platform engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS / AKS or equivalent) in production.
• Strong hands-on experience in handling peak traffic and production debugging.
• Experience in technical communication with multiple teams and understanding tech requirements.
• Experience with GitOps tooling (Flux or ArgoCD) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Crossplane, or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins) and modern pipeline security practices (OIDC/workload identity federation).
• Experience building or maintaining internal developer platforms (Backstage or similar) is highly regarded.
• Solid Linux systems administration background.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and/or Bash.
• Experience with cloud platforms — AWS and Azure required.
