Automation Tester in Java
We are looking for an experienced Automation Tester with strong Java skills to join our team and help ensure the quality of our web applications, APIs, and microservices.
In this role, you will design and implement automated testing solutions across the full software development lifecycle, working in agile environments alongside developers and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Design testing strategies and plans using BDD approaches, and define clear acceptance criteria
- Create and maintain automated test scripts for both frontend (web, mobile) and backend (services) components
- Execute and manage functional and non-functional testing efforts
- Perform performance testing, analyze results, and identify areas for improvement
- Manage test cases and defects using tools such as Jira and X-Ray
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintain source code repositories
- Validate data through database queries to support testing activities
- Apply quality metrics and analytics, along with shift-left and shift-right testing practices, to continuously enhance product quality
- Collaborate actively in agile ceremonies, reviews, and cross-functional discussions
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, including participation in agile projects and complete development cycles
- Proven experience testing web applications, APIs, and microservices
- Solid understanding of testing processes and types (ISTQB Foundation Level / Automation Tester)
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Serenity BDD, Screenplay, Gherkin-Cucumber, and Karate
- Hands-on experience with functional and non-functional test automation tools
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6, including result interpretation
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps) and version control (Git)
- Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL, Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL) and data validation for testing
- Familiarity with software engineering practices such as SOLID principles, Clean Code, Refactoring, DRY, and DAMP
- Strong knowledge of GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Windsurf) applied to testing workflows
- Experience working with agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
- Clear communication skills in technical contexts, with the ability to explain your work to different roles and adapt your message to the audience
- Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with security testing and tools such as OWASP ZAP, including creating automated security test scripts
- Experience managing automation pipelines
- Knowledge of ITIL v4
- Experience with Cucumber and Test Automation Framework Architecture
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot
